My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were large and comfortable with a nice balcony offering views of the pond and waterfall, but the thin walls made it noisy at night, prompting a call to the front desk. It would have been more convenient to have a microwave in the room.

Rooms

I found the rooms to be spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the balcony view of the pond and waterfall was lovely.
Service

The service was top-notch, with helpful and accommodating staff. They were attentive and friendly throughout my stay. I particularly enjoyed the local cat, Jackpot, who visited the bar at night.

The location was excellent, situated next to a little lake with views of the mountains. It was a pleasant place to stay, especially for families visiting Death Valley National Park.
Dining

The dining experience was good overall. I enjoyed a delicious omelette and potatoes for breakfast but wished there were more options available earlier to beat the summer heat in Death Valley.

The facilities were well-maintained, and the ambiance in the restaurant and bar area with live music and a retro casino was enjoyable.

6.4/10

The hotel offers a mix of conveniences, with rooms that had some outdated features but were surprisingly comfortable, though lacking in cleanliness. The noise levels were a downside, but the shower and beds provided comfort. Service was a mix of surly employees and helpful staff, including insightful advice on nearby attractions. The location, while isolated, had its charms with close proximity to Death Valley. Dining options were limited, and on-site facilities were basic but decent.

I absolutely loved my stay at the hotel! The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and I highly recommend getting one with a 'lake view' for breathtaking sights of the duck pond and mountains. The no smoking policy was a plus, although there was a bit of tobacco smoke around. The service was top-notch with friendly and helpful staff ready to assist. The location, though a bit remote, was surprisingly charming with a petting zoo and various water fowl to enjoy. Dining was a bit lacking, but the cafe had some tasty options. Overall, a great value for money experience!

The hotel is as close to Death Valley as you can get without staying in the park, perfect for an early start to explore the area. It's a unique spot with rescue animals and a lovely pond on the grounds.
Dining

Unlike most places we stayed at during our trip, the cafe had some tasty options, although more variety would have been appreciated. Breakfast was nice and satisfying.

The hotel's rooms were comfortable and had everything we needed initially, but they were not clean for the second night and appeared a bit old. The gymnasium setup was unexpected.

Service

The service was a mix of slow and rude; however, when requesting a room change for better Wi-Fi, they were more friendly.
Location

The hotel is located on the California-Nevada border, about 40 minutes from Furnace Creek headquarters for Death Valley National Park. It was disappointing not to have a microwave and coffeemaker available.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was not tasty, and the washing machines were not really effective. The Welsh pastries were good, but meal availability was limited to 7 am before departure.
Facilities
6.0
The facility had convenient access to rooms and a well-stocked 'general store' but lacked a microwave and coffeemaker in the rooms.

I absolutely adored my stay at this hotel! The rooms were incredibly spacious, and I loved having a balcony with two chairs facing west for breathtaking sunset views. The fireplace in the bedroom added such a cozy touch, and the care put into every detail was evident, especially with the fireplace and patio overlooking a serene pond. However, the price could be a bit high for some travelers.

Rooms

The location is superb for exploring national parks and hiking in the desert. The ambiance in the restaurant and bar area was fantastic, offering a taste of true American flair. The only downside was the small shop's limited selection.
